Bridgeport men charged after home invasion escape attempt with wallet

Two Bridgeport men, Michael Lozada, 21, and Syncaire Williams, 20, were arrested after police say they forced their way into an occupied Kent Avenue home shortly after midnight Sunday. A resident called 911 and barricaded himself in a bedroom as one or both suspects tried to break through the door; no one was injured. Officers found Lozada leaving through the front door and Williams inside, allegedly trying to escape through a kitchen window and carrying the caller’s wallet. Police said a running vehicle in the driveway had a stolen license plate and was later reported stolen in Derby. Both men face home-invasion and first-degree burglary charges, along with additional charges, and were each assigned $100,000 bond.
