Suspect arrested in fatal CU Boulder Halloween shooting

Boulder police arrested 18-year-old Omar Perez in connection with a Halloween-night shooting at a house party that killed one 19-year-old University of Colorado Boulder student and left another hospitalized. Perez faces charges including first-degree murder, attempted murder and first-degree assault; police believe he was the only shooter, though investigators said others involved may also face charges. Police had earlier shut down the crowded party over a noise violation, and investigators say the shooting followed an attempt by a group to force its way into the home.
