School Lockdowns Reported Across Multiple Regions

A false safety alert at Farrington High School in Honolulu prompted a police response and lockdown, but authorities found no active threat; the school reopened about an hour later. In north Wellington, four schools locked down as police investigated a possible sighting of a person of interest nearby, and urged families to stay away. Alfriston College in South Auckland also announced a lockdown and asked people not to approach or call the school while the situation was managed. In Illinois, unusual noises believed to have come from a nearby power transformer triggered lockdowns at Marissa-area schools; police said there was no evidence of an intruder and students were safe.
