Multiple people were injured in a shooting Thursday at the U.S. Postal Service’s main post office on Second Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa. Police detained the suspected shooter, and multiple law enforcement agencies responded. Officials had not released victims’ identities, confirmed injury details, or disclosed a motive; a police sergeant said there was no indication anyone had life-threatening injuries. Authorities asked the public to avoid the area while the investigation continued.
