Texas Man Sentenced 30 Years for Teen Exploitation

Harrison Michael Barton, 39, of Texas, was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to sexual exploitation of a minor and attempted kidnapping. Prosecutors said he traveled by bus to Ohio in February 2025 to meet a 15-year-old girl he had connected with while playing Call of Duty. Barton admitted to sexual conduct with the teen and taking explicit photos; authorities arrested him at a Columbus airport as he tried to fly to Florida with her. He was also wanted on a Texas parole warrant related to an earlier conviction for online solicitation of a minor.
