Lawyer for Tupac Murder Convict Duane Davis Dies

Michael Sanft, a Las Vegas attorney who represented Duane “Keffe D” Davis in the trial over Tupac Shakur’s 1996 killing, has died. A friend said Sanft was found at home Friday; authorities have not disclosed a cause of death. Davis was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to 40 years to life in prison. Sanft, a Nevada bar member since 2002 and a graduate of Brigham Young University, argued that Davis’s claims of involvement in the killing were not credible.
