WPP CFO Wilson Named Diageo Finance Chief

Joanne Wilson is stepping down as WPP’s chief financial officer and will become CFO of Diageo, succeeding Nik Jhangiani. Wilson will remain at WPP through a 12-month notice and transition period, while the advertising group searches for her replacement; WPP said its 2026 financial outlook remains unchanged. Diageo said Wilson is expected to join its board and executive committee in 2027 as the company pursues a turnaround, cost reductions and a strategy focused on sustainable growth and shareholder value. Her appointment adds financial and transformation experience from WPP, Britvic, Tesco, dunnhumby and KPMG to Diageo’s leadership team.
