Wrightson declares victory in Pennsylvania Senate race

Democrat Brian Wrightson declared victory over Republican incumbent Rosemary Brown in Pennsylvania’s 40th Senate District, potentially flipping the seat. Unofficial returns showed Wrightson leading as votes were counted, with some reports noting that results were not yet final. The district includes all of Monroe County and parts of Lackawanna and Wayne counties; the closely watched race could affect the balance of power in the state Senate. Data center development was a prominent issue in the campaign.
