Wyatt Young Apologizes After Costly Iowa State Penalty

Oklahoma State receiver Wyatt Young apologized after his unsportsmanlike-conduct penalty following a late go-ahead touchdown helped Iowa State secure a 51–49 win. Young taunted fans after scoring with 53 seconds left, drawing a 15-yard penalty that moved the ensuing kickoff back; Iowa State returned it to its 37-yard line and drove for a game-winning field goal as time expired. Young took responsibility publicly and, according to coach Eric Morris, also apologized to the team in person. Morris called the penalty selfish but said he remains confident in Young, while quarterback Drew Mestemaker said the team should support his teammate and move forward.
