‘Heartstopper’ star, William Gao speaks about the positive impact Hudson Williams’ rise to stardom has had on Asian actors within the industry in a new interview with @NYMag! 🤎 “‘Since Hudson Williams, there’s been loads of people trying to get in touch with me: suddenly, more self-tapes, more audition requests, more things coming in.’ Gao says he recently found himself auditioning alongside four other Wasian men, joking that it felt like ‘Avengers, assemble!’ While the increased opportunities have been positive for his career, he also notes how quickly Hollywood appears to be responding to the trend: ‘It’s kind of predictable: Let’s just hop on this trend.
