Imran Khan’s Family Alleges Police Raids and Detentions of His Sisters in Lahore Ahead of PTI Protest

🚨🇵🇰 BREAKING: Imran Khan’s family has just released a statement on the detention of his sister, Aleema Khan, and the police operation that followed at their family homes in Lahore. According to the family, Aleema left home on Sunday and NEVER returned... Her car was later found at a police station, before they learned she had been DETAINED under Pakistan’s Maintenance of Public Order law. Police then surrounded the family homes before launching a MASSIVE overnight raid, during which Imran’s other sisters, Uzma Khanum and Noreen Niazi, were detained alongside several relatives and staff. The family alleges officers kicked down Uzma’s bedroom door, dragged staff from their quarters, and detained family members before taking them away in an armored police vehicle... They further allege that 20+ officers entered an upstairs section where Aleema’s daughter-in-law was alone with her daughters, aged 2 and 7, attempted to arrest her, and later took her and the frightened children around the house to identify CCTV cameras and recording equipment, which officers proceeded to destroy. The family says Uzma and Noreen were ultimately separated from the others and transferred to jail, while relatives were given ZERO information about where the sisters had been taken... lawyers and family members have subsequently been denied access to them. The operation came days ahead of PTI’s planned Sept. 27 March on Islamabad, as Imran remains imprisoned; his sisters had been prominent public links between him and the outside world...
