NFL Fines 49ers’ Kyle Juszczyk Nearly $15K for Beer-Chug Celebration Gesture

Adam Schefter reported that the NFL fined San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk $14,926 for an “offensive demonstration” after he mimicked chugging a beer during Sunday’s game vs. Miami. The league letter called the gesture “in poor taste”; Juszczyk (nicknamed “Juice”), who has used a similar celebration for years, has already appealed and noted he doesn’t even drink beer. The post is trending because of widespread mockery of the NFL’s perceived hypocrisy—heavy alcohol sponsorships and stadium sales paired with punishing a harmless, long-running player celebration.
