York Water Q3 Revenue Rises 20% Despite Higher Costs
York Water reported higher third-quarter and nine-month 2026 revenue and profits, with third-quarter revenue rising about 20% to $24.3 million and net income increasing about 26% to $7.8 million. For the first nine months, revenue grew 17% to $67.9 million and net income rose about 36% to $20.2 million; diluted earnings per share increased to $0.48 for the quarter and $1.30 for the nine-month period. The company attributed most of the revenue growth to water and wastewater rate increases effective March 1, along with customer growth, while higher operating costs and taxes, lower per-capita water use and a reset of the distribution system improvement charge partly offset the gains. York Water invested $36.2 million in capital projects during the first nine months and expects to spend another $11.8 million by year-end, excluding acquisitions.
