YouTube Unveils Broad AI Suite for Creators
YouTube announced a broad expansion of AI-powered tools for creators at its annual Made on YouTube event, including Ask Studio, which can review draft videos, suggest titles and thumbnails, explain channel performance, and recommend ways to improve engagement. A new background AI agent will monitor older videos for renewed interest or emerging trends, propose updates, and help creators prepare brand pitches using audience data. Creators will be able to generate and test multiple thumbnails, while YouTube plans to support testing up to three different video cuts to determine which opening performs best; the platform will also monitor thumbnail performance and may replace weak options automatically. Additional updates include a research feed, improved analytics, conversational editing for Shorts, and broader mobile access to Studio tools. YouTube is also expanding AI-powered product tagging and affiliate-shopping opportunities, though some creators remain concerned that inaccurate AI recommendations could damage their credibility.
