How to carve a turkey
For home cooks facing a whole roast who want neat, moist slices without a messy fight at the board.
You free each large section at the joint before you slice across the grain. That keeps pieces intact and the juices on the platter instead of the board.
Before you start: a sharp thin carving knife, a carving fork, a large cutting board, a damp towel to grip the board, and a warm serving platter.

Step 01
REST the turkey breast-up on the counter for twenty to thirty minutes after it leaves the oven.

Step 02
ANCHOR the board with a damp towel under it and the turkey breast-up, legs toward you.
