A fly went viral on social media when it landed on Vice President Mike Penceās head during the recent vice-presidential debate and Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris has just revealed she saw it during their face off.
The fly sat there on Penceās head, going unnoticed by the vice president during the Oct. 7 debate. It sparked a lot of reaction on social media, even some creating Twitter profiles for the fly who got āa great seat at the debate,ā as one profile read.
When asked by MSNBCās Rachel Maddow during Wednesday nightās interview if she saw the fly on Penceās head during the debate, Harris laughed, āOh, Rachel.ā
Harris proceeded to nod her head āyesā while attempting to hold back laughter.
Asked if she had an āinstinctā to swat the fly away, Harris continued to hold back laughter before saying, āI think that itās important that we kind of find a way for all of us to move on and, you know, kind of fly away from this subject onto something else. Yeah.ā

āEveryone jealous because I got the best seat for the debate tonight,ā one Twitter user, āMikePenceFly,ā tweeted after the moment at the debate.
In another tweet, it read, āI already had to get tested before they let me into the debate. Iām Covid free.ā

Pence spoke out about the moment, saying he learned from his children about the fly.
āTheyāre the ones that told me,ā Pence said during a Fox News interview. āI didnāt know he was there.ā
He added, āThey all told me, āDad, you did OK.ā But they did tell me about the fly. And it was a good laugh for all of us.ā
