A Democratic staffer from Capitol Hill will be battling other contestants for a million-dollar prize on the next season of the long-running hit show “Survivor.”
According to Politico, communications director for Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.), Alex Moore, was featured in a promotional video that was released on Wednesday, which will be the TV show’s 49th season.
“I work on Capitol Hill, and I think that has prepared me for Survivor because one of my favorite pastimes is kissing butt,” Moore said in the video.
“Survivor” is a reality TV show that puts contestants into the wilderness. Over the seasons, locations have varied from the Fijian Islands to the Australian Outback. Contestants are required to navigate their way through challenges, both physical and mental, while picking off fellow “tribe” members until one is left to win overall prize of $1 million.
Politico further reported other notable appearances from those involved in politics include Washington Attorney General Nick Brown, Kentucky state Rep. Nick Wilson, Texas state Rep. Jolanda Jones, and Jon Lovett — a former Obama speechwriter who made an appearance on “Survivor” season 47, before being voted out on the first episode.
