Jelly Roll Uninvited From Mar-a-Lago Fundraiser After Trump Jokes

Country music star Jelly Roll has been formally uninvited from a November fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago after making jokes about President Donald Trump during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"

According to Fox News, the event, hosted by Law Enforcement Today, is scheduled to raise money for the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) Foundation, which supports families of wounded and fallen officers.

Law Enforcement Today’s Kyle Reyes told Fox News Digital that Jelly Roll had been invited on April 26 to perform several worship songs at the Second Annual Big Blue Bash. Reyes said the invitation was withdrawn after the singer appeared on Kimmel’s late-night program.

The invitation had described the event as a "God-centered Gala" and said there was "no better way to close out our event than with your voice."

A source told Fox News Digital that Jelly Roll’s team never spoke with organizers about the November event and learned about the invitation through social media.

In an X post Friday, Reyes said organizers had made a "mistake" by inviting Jelly Roll and announced that the invitation was being formally withdrawn.

The decision came after Jelly Roll used his Kimmel appearance to mock Trump’s weight and make other political jokes. The singer referenced his own weight loss while comparing the amount he had lost to "an entire Donald Trump."

Jelly Roll also joked about Trump’s approval ratings and argued that the president should be able to "handle a few jokes."

During his final appearance filling in for Kimmel, Jelly Roll also pushed back on the idea that he had been manipulated by the show’s writers. He said he had previously described himself as apolitical but acknowledged that he "lean[s] left on some things" while calling himself "pretty down the middle."

"I am a Christian. I am a country music singer. I’m a farmer. I’m a bow hunter," Jelly Roll said.

Reyes criticized the singer’s comments, accusing him of attacking Trump and conservatives and saying his remarks conflicted with the religious focus of the fundraiser.

"We don’t hold Jelly Roll’s hate against him — but we sure aren’t going to welcome him into the home of the very man he decided to attack," Reyes told Fox News Digital.

The November event is expected to feature performers Rachel Holt and Coffey Anderson, along with a surprise presentation from an "American Idol" star honoring families of fallen officers.
