Here’s What Schumer’s New AI Burger Photo Really Reveals About His Plan

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer celebrated the Democratic congressional win with a digitally manipulated image released on Wednesday. The graphic shows him preparing food that bears the likenesses of Republican figures per the The Daily Caller.
The original version drew heavy criticism for showing Schumer placing cheese on a raw burger patty. The revised version uses artificial intelligence to make the burgers look fully cooked. The caption references the Senate seat total Democrats reached in the 2026 midterms.
The New Political Reality
After Tuesday’s election, Democrats are expected to hold at least 54 Senate seats beginning in January. This flips the prior 53-47 Republican advantage. Sources say the party made gains in Michigan, Texas, South Carolina, Maine, Iowa, Ohio, and Kansas, while also taking control of the House of Representatives.
Schumer’s graphic shows the faces of President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance on the grill. The image also includes defeated Republican candidates like Darline Graham and Ken Paxton. RedState pointed out the meme-style portrayal of Vice President Vance. The Daily Caller characterized the graphic as depicting Vance in a “meme-ified” way, appearing fat and bald.
Warnings From The Other Side
Some Democrats have already started targeting the incoming administration. Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon questioned the new leadership, while Rep. Delia C. Ramirez of Illinois told the President to brace for future moves.
Representative Jim Jordan of Ohio warned that the new majority might try to impeach the President again. He suggested that despite denials, a third impeachment could be possible. Jordan also alluded to the necessity of dealing with past weaponization concerns.
Schumer insisted he would remain majority leader despite internal calls for his ouster. Responding to worries from party members, he declared that the issue is focusing on the American people and what they want, rejecting suggestions that he would be replaced.
A Mockery Of The Voter
Using AI to alter the faces of elected officials turns a political victory into a trivial matter. RedState referenced a reaction from user Matt Bernstein, underscoring the increasingly personal nature of political attacks.
The 2024 version was taken down after the New York Post reported on the controversy surrounding the raw burger. Fox News also covered similar criticism aimed at Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger in early 2026 regarding a cooking photo. Schumer’s decision to reuse this imagery suggests a focus on style rather than substance.
