Trump Axes Disastrous Biden Ruling Restoring Hunting Access

President Donald Trump signed two executive orders to restore access to federal lands and waterways. The moves reverse strict limits on hunting, fishing, and boating that were set by the previous administration. RedState reported the president hosted a dinner with over 100 outdoor leaders in the Rose Garden to mark the changes.

The first order, titled Reinvigorating America’s Hunting Heritage, expands where Americans can hunt. It opens millions of acres that were previously off-limits to the public. The Interior Department had already made 92 million acres available in August, but the new rule pushes that access to nearly 95 percent of the National Wildlife Refuge System.

The second order targets the fishing and boating industries with immediate relief. It directs the Commerce and Interior departments to cut rules that hurt charter operators and anglers. The administration condemned the previous water speed restrictions, declaring that American boaters can now once again enjoy the open ocean.

Industry leaders say these changes signal a shift toward listening to business concerns. Jay Timmons, CEO of the National Association of Manufacturers, told Fox News Digital that the reforms are a major boost. He noted that the previous rules were “simply unworkable” and that the timeline proposed by the Biden team was not feasible for companies trying to plan long-term.

Timmons warned that uncertainty remains the biggest enemy for manufacturers who need stable rules. He said 80 percent of manufacturers believe the current permitting process harms investment. His group found that 87 percent of businesses would hire more workers or expand operations if rules were streamlined. The orders signed Thursday aim to fix this by allowing multi-year permits and expanding fishing seasons. Trump emphasized that public lands belong to the people, not to bureaucrats who lock the gates.

The administration’s focus on outdoor access continues to draw strong support from voters who enjoy these activities. The orders now direct agencies to start shredding restrictions immediately. Manufacturers and outdoor groups are watching to see how quickly the new rules take effect in the coming weeks.
