Trump Plans 10-State Blitz To Boost GOP Before Midterms

The itinerary covers a mix of swing states and strongholds that are now competitive. Trump will stop in Michigan, North Carolina, and Georgia. He is also heading to Texas, Iowa, Alaska, Ohio, and Kansas. Montana and Pennsylvania are on the list too. These states have tight House races and Senate fights that need attention.

Texas, Ohio, and Georgia are the big targets. Trump plans to visit each of those three states twice. The schedule includes a massive two-week swing. He will travel from Washington to Montana, then Alaska. Next comes Las Vegas, Arizona, and Texas. Then he returns to the White House. The White House did not answer when asked for comment on these specific dates.

The Races on the Line

Why is he going to Texas twice? The Senate race there is now very close. Attorney General Ken Paxton is running against Democrat James Talarico. Trump carried Texas by 14 points in 2024. He is scheduled for a rally in San Antonio on Wednesday to back Paxton. Recent polls show a tight race. Republicans are spending big money to hold this seat.

In Ohio, the fight is just as fierce. Senator Jon Husted faces a challenge from former Democrat Senator Sherrod Brown. Brown wants to return to the Senate after losing to Bernie Moreno in 2024. Ohio also has a hard governor race. Republican Vivek Ramaswamy is running against Democrat Amy Acton. Georgia has its own battle for the Senate. Senator Jon Ossoff is trying to win a second term against Rep. Mike Collins. Collins has been falling behind in the polls. A visit from Trump could help his base turn out in a state he won in 2024.

The Push to the Finish

The President has already started ramping up his travel. On Friday night, he gathered supporters in Mobile, Alabama. He is set to travel to Ohio on Saturday. The trip continues from there. This aggressive push shows how much the midterms matter to his party.

Republicans are fighting hard to keep control of Congress. Every stop is meant to drive up the vote count. The strategy is clear: get the base out in the final stretch. Trump is asking for your help in a way that feels personal. “I’m asking you to pretend that I’m on the ballot,” he said during a recent event. He told the crowd, “Just close your eyes and pretend I’m on the ballot.” He also remarked, “Sometimes even though you don’t have to come here, you got to pay respect to the people that have loved you from the beginning” The road trip ends only when the votes are counted.
