Judge Dismisses Case Against 2 Former FBI Agents Involving Biden Laptop

A federal judge dismissed a criminal complaint against two former FBI agents for their role in an investigation into Hunter Biden’s laptop.

The Justice Department announced Nikki Floris and Bradley Benavides were charged in October for allegedly lying before Congress about their roles in the Foreign Influence Task Force during the 2020 election.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Zia Faruqui questioned why the charges were brought via criminal complaint, an option usually used when authorities need to get a defendant into custody quickly, rather than through a grand jury indictment.
