Theranos Founder to Move to Halfway House in ‘27

Elizabeth Holmes was to spend 11 years in prison for defrauding investors out of hundreds of millions of dollars. But she will be moved to  halfway house next year.

Holmes, founder of Theranos, is set to be placed at the Austin Transitional Center in Del Valle, Texas, on Aug. 23, 2027, according to a Department of Justice notification obtained by ABC.

She has been serving an 11-year sentence at a federal prison camp in Bryan, Texas. She was convicted in 2022 on charges tied to Theranos, a blood-testing startup she founded.

The company collapsed after investigators found its technology didn’t work as claimed.

A victim of Holmes’ fraud told NewsNation’s Katie Pavlich Holmes “shouldn’t be allowed” to leave early.

A trailer dropped this month for Nathan Fielder’s new documentary, “You Can See Everything.”

The documentary follows her in the days before she reported to prison for the Theranos fraud.

In the trailer, Fielder asks Holmes if she feels she did anything wrong.

“I did not,” she said.

Holmes is shown shedding a single tear, which a body language expert dubbed as false to NewsNation.

“Psychopaths can do that,” body language expert and behavior analyst Scott Rouse told NewsNation’s Jesse Weber. “That’s not tough.”

The three-hour documentary hits theaters Oct. 16.
