Trump Laments Losing Nobel Peace Prize Again

President Donald Trump believes he should’ve won the Nobel Peace Prize. But for the second year in a row, he has walked away empty handed.

On Friday, former International Criminal Court (ICC) judge Navi Pillay claimed the prize Trump has long coveted.

The president took to Truth Social post after his rally in Syracuse, New York, to repeat his claim to have “settled eight Wars.” He added he was “about to settle, or win, two more” in Iran and the war between Russia and Ukraine.

“The United States of America, represented by me, as your President, should have received the Nobel Peace Prize, but didn’t,” he wrote.

“This is an indelible stain on Norway, one that will never be forgotten,” Trump added. “‘The Nobel “Peace’ Prize has been forever discredited by a handful of Radical Ideologues who are Anti-Democracy, and Enemies of Civilization!”

Pillay has served as a United Nations high commissioner for human rights and was the first non-white woman in South Africa to establish her own law practice.

She recently chaired a UN commission that concluded Israel had committed genocide in Gaza. This sparked strong pushback from the Israeli government.

Trump said Pillay “very obviously, hates Israel” in his post, and questioned her qualifications to receive the award.

“The Nobel Prize was given today to a liberal person who works at the United Nations, who nobody has ever heard of,” he wrote. “In all of the Wars that I have settled, I never spoke to the United Nations—they were of no help.”
