Trump Rages at CNN’s Kaitlan Collins: ‘You Shouldn’t Be Here’

President Donald Trump saw red when he spotted CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins among the reporters as he entered the United Nations.

The president’s words started off cordial as he said he was honored to be at the UN. That turned to hostility as he saw Collins, a reporter for CNN — one of three news outlets Trump banned from the White House. MSNBC and Politico are the other two.

“I’m surprised that CNN is here covering me. You shouldn’t be here!” Trump said.

“The United Nations allowed us in, sir,” Collins countered.

“You should not be here covering me,” Trump continued. “You said you weren’t going to cover me, you shouldn’t be covering me.”

When reporters started to pepper Trump with questions, he held his hand up, repeated he was honored to be there and walked away with first lady Melania Trump.

Trump called the free press “something which I cherish,” but added the banned outlets were “FAKE NEWS” peddlers.

“It is instituting an assault on the FAKE NEWS, something that has grown like Cancer in our beloved United States of America,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “It is corrupt, purposeful, pervasive, fully coordinated, and totally out of control. It is a threat to our National Security, and must be stopped, NOW! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

The three outlets are suing the White House over the ban. The outlets said the ban “brazenly discriminates based on editorial viewpoint” and has already caused “irreparable harm” to CNN, MSNBC, and Politico.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on NBC Today he “can’t blame” Trump because it often sounds like mainstream reporters are “rooting for Iran.”
