Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) received criticism after expressing her frustration with counter-protesters in New York amid former President Donald Trump’s expected arraignment.

“I’m here in NY to protest with my voice against the weaponization of the justice system on innocent President Trump, but the counter protestors are coming to commit assault that can cause audible damage to everyone’s ears including NYPD,” Greene tweeted Tuesday.

She continued, “But Mayor Adams warns me by name! If counter protestors are violating freedom of speech and committing assault, they should be arrested.”

Greene explained, “According to NY law, the counter protesters planned, organized, and funded behavior is considered disorderly conduct. [Mayor Eric Adams] better direct NYPD to lock these people up. He said he wasn’t tolerating violence of any kind.”

Greene did not appear to be receiving overwhelming support for her complaint with one Twitter user saying, “*Now* we have a rat problem here in New York.”

Another user suggested Greene is “already deaf,” adding, “Tens of millions of sane Americans have been talking to you; you haven’t heard a damn thing.”

Writer Tom Watson told Greene, “Just GTFO. Nobody wants you here. Lesley Stahl is not representative of New Yorkers.”

Greene is showing her support for Trump by headlining a “Rally for Trump” at Collect Pond Park in New York, IJR reported.

“Trump is joining some of the most incredible people in history being arrested today. Nelson Mandela was arrested, served time in prison. Jesus! Jesus was arrested and murdered,” she said while speaking to the Right Side Broadcasting Network.

The former president is expected to be arraigned Tuesday for charges related to his alleged role in paying hush money to Stormy Daniels.
