Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) appears to be the victim of a prank report that led a police team to enter her house early in the morning.
In a tweet Wednesday morning, Greene wrote, âLast night, I was swatted just after 1 am.â
âI canât express enough gratitude to my local law enforcement here in Rome, Floyd County,â she added.
Greeneâs tweet appears to be a reference to the practice of âswatting,â which Cambridge Dictionary describes as âthe action of making a false report of a serious emergency so that a SWAT team (= a group of officers trained to deal with dangerous situations) will go to a personâs home, by someone who wants to frighten, upset, or cause problems for that person.â
Her tweet quickly garnered responses from conservatives.
Elijah Schaffer of The Blaze wrote, âGlad you are safe!â
Meanwhile, conservative commentator David Reaboi wrote, âThis is absurd. Glad youâre ok.â

The Georgia Congresswoman shared a tweet from a user who wrote, âWhoever did this to needs to be punished to the fullest extent of the law. This is horrific incredibly dangerous!â
Former Trump White House adviser Steve Bannonâs home in Washington, D.C., was the subject of a âswattingâ incident in June.
