Customers at an Oklahoma diner say they are unwilling to get the COVID-19 vaccine even if former President Donald Trump encourages them to.
CNN’s Gary Tuchman asked diners if Trump was “robust and said take it” would they. One diner replied, “No.”
Another chimed in, “Trump is a liberal New Yorker. Why would we listen to him either?”
Tuchman asked the diner if he voted for Trump, he laughed and said, “He was the best option.”
Earlier when the CNN reporter walked into the diner, he asked, “Does anybody in this restaurant think it’s a good idea to take the vaccine?” He asked them to raise their hands if they think it is a good idea.
There were no diners who raised their hands.

One diner told CNN he would not get the vaccine because he does not “trust the government” or President Joe Biden.
Another diner expressed concern about getting sick with COVID-19 through the vaccine, “When I take the flu shot I usually get the flu so there’s no reason to take it,” adding, he would “probably” get sick with COVID-19 through the vaccine.
One woman explained she is doubtful about the vaccine because “they just started rolling them out.”
Trump during Tuesday night’s interview on Fox News encouraged Americans to get vaccinated, as IJR reported.
“I would recommend it, and I would recommend it to a lot of people that don’t want to get it, and a lot of those people voted for me, frankly,” the former president said.
He added, “But, you know, again, we have our freedoms, and we have to live by that, and I agree with that also.”
Trump called the vaccine “great” and “safe.”
An adviser confirmed Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were vaccinated in January at the White House and have since received their second dose, as IJR reported.
