White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is reportedly planning to leave her job.

According to Axios, Psaki is in exclusive discussions with MSNBC to join the network after her departure from the White House around May, citing a source close to the matter.

Two sources familiar with the plans told the outlet Psaki has been consulting the White House counsel’s office about her leaving.

Additionally, two sources said Psaki has told some White House senior officials about her plans to leave and join MSNBC.

An administration source told Axios Psaki has not formally informed her White House press team of her departure.

The outlet explained, “MSNBC has been working with its compliance lawyers to make sure their conversations didn’t violate any government regulations, according to a source close to the matter.”

The deal is reportedly nearly final.

Psaki previously said she would be happy to stay in her role for more than a year.
