Shia LaBeouf spoke candidly about his February arrest in New Orleans, reflecting on a night that spiraled out of control during Mardi Gras.

According to Fox News, the 39-year-old actor, best known for roles in “Transformers” and “Even Stevens”, faced two counts of simple battery following an altercation in the French Quarter.

In a recent interview on “Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan”, LaBeouf acknowledged the incident and expressed contrition.

“It’s not nice to hurt people – ever, it’s lame. People got hurt, we’ve gotta deal with that. I’m gonna deal with that in full,” he said. “It was on me. I f—ed up.”

Authorities reported that LaBeouf became aggressive at a Royal Street business in the Faubourg Marigny district.

Staff attempted to remove him, but the actor allegedly struck one person multiple times and later punched another individual.

Police said bystanders intervened until law enforcement arrived. LaBeouf was hospitalized briefly before his arrest.

LaBeouf attributed the outburst to a mix of personal issues rather than substance abuse.

“I’m just not into rehab. I don’t think my answers are there. I don’t have a drinking problem. I have a different problem… it has to do with anger and ego,” he explained.

He also admitted feeling fear in certain situations, which contributed to his behavior, but emphasized, “I am wrong for touching anyone ever, and that’s the end of my statement on this.”

The actor reflected on the impact the arrest and his personal life have had on him. “I’ve got stuff I have to answer for, but overall I feel good. I came out here heartbroken… I’m filling my heart up,” he said, acknowledging the end of his marriage without delving into private details.

LaBeouf’s arrest and subsequent comments highlight a complicated personal reckoning, as he publicly takes responsibility for his actions while navigating the fallout from a highly publicized incident.
