Video Offers New Details About Roger Stone's Involvement in Efforts to Overturn 2020 Election: Report
“It’s going to be really nasty.”
“It’s going to be really nasty.”
The pro-Trump music video is about the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
Trump had earlier commuted the criminal sentence of Stone, who was convicted of lying under oath to lawmakers.
“We welcome the review,” Justice Department spokeswoman Kerri Kupec said.
“Are your mail delays implicit campaign contributions?”
“Could you point to one indictment that has been under the department that you feel has been unmerited?”
Clinton has very strong opinion of Trump commuting Stone’s sentence.
“You had a completely bogus Russian witch hunt that found nothing, and in order to justify the waste of taxpayer dollars, you had Robert Mueller charging people with process crimes.”
“I felt it was necessary to record this episode in our history, as seen and experienced by an insider.”
Stone suggested that he would do all that he possibly could to help the president win.
“I don’t think that the facts that surround the Stone prosecution support the idea of any type of clemency.”
“People should know, this isn’t just about lying to Congress — that means lying to the American people — witness tampering and the rest, it’s about our national security.”
“Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee have previously requested Mr. Mueller appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee to testify about his investigation. That request will be granted.”
“Because his sentence has been commuted, he will not go to prison. But his conviction stands.”
Several top Democrats are not pleased with Trump’s decision.
“Roger Stone has already suffered greatly.”
“I think the prosecution was righteous and I think the sentence the judge ultimately gave was fair.”
The social media platform said Stone and his associates, including a prominent supporter of the right-wing Proud Boys group in Stone’s home state of Florida, had used fake accounts and followers to promote Stone’s books and posts.
Jackson offered a five-page, opinionated response to Stone’s request.
