“The View” co-host Ana Navarro criticized people on Monday who are not acknowledging Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk’s so-called “inflammatory rhetoric.”

Navarro claimed that mourners of Kirk are acting like he simply “spread pixie dust” and that even Republican Utah Gov. Spencer Cox has admitted that Kirk has spewed offensive language. The co-host did not mention that Cox pointed to Kirk’s “amazing” messaging about forgiveness and his devout Christian faith.

“Look, you know a lot of people are out there trying to portray Charlie Kirk as if he was spreading pixie dust around the country. A lot of people, to use the word of Governor Cox, found what he said inflammatory or worse,” Navarro said.

WATCH:

Navarro then defended Kirk’s right to express their views without the threat of violence, and said that no one should be harmed or killed for their political views.

The assassin, Tyler Robinson, had reportedly become increasingly political and aligned himself with “leftist ideology,” authorities found. There appeared to have been “multiple warning signs” ahead of the assassination, especially after Robinson allegedly wrote a now-destroyed note expressing his intent to kill Kirk, FBI deputy director Dan Bongino said on Monday.

FBI Director Kash Patel said on “Fox & Friends” that Robinson texted an individual about his plan to kill Kirk. It is currently unknown why that person did not report Robinson’s plans to authorities.

Several people have gotten fired for openly celebrating Kirk’s assassination and falsely accusing him of making offensive remarks. The Washington Post fired columnist Karen Attiah for falsely accusing Kirk of saying “black women do not have the brain processing power to be taken seriously,” leading her to complain that society does not want to stop white people from committing gun violence.

The New York Times issued a correction after it falsely accused Kirk of saying that Jewish people push “the exact kind of hatred against whites” that they want people to stop using against them. However, Kirk read that statement from a tweet and went on to criticize it.

Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar accused Kirk of being insensitive to school shootings and the death of George Floyd.
