WASHINGTON, DC - MAY 14: U.S. President Joe Biden announces increased tariffs to promote American investments and jobs in the Rose Garden of the White House on May 14, 2024 in Washington, DC. In order to protect American businesses, Biden announced the raising of tariffs on Chinese imports that he says are unfairly subsidized by Beijing, including electric vehicles, solar cells, semiconductors and advanced batteries. President Joe Biden is getting high praise from Joy Behar, a co-host of ABC’s “The View” for expressing support for his son Hunter Biden, while also stating he will not pardon him either.

During a segment of “The View” Wednesday, Behar noted Hunter Biden was in the car during a crash that killed his mother.

“Beau [Biden] died of cancer and [Hunter Biden] became an addict, I mean, not to excuse whatever bad things he’s done,” she said. “In your heart, you feel bad for that family.”

She continued, “Look at the picture of Joe Biden hugging his son. He stands with him and he’s not pardoning him because he’s a true American who believes in democracy and the way the system is supposed to work.”

“That’s who you’re voting for!” Behar added.

Hunter Biden was charged with three felony counts for illegally purchasing a firearm while he was addicted to crack cocaine.

And on Tuesday, he was found guilty on all three counts.

In a statement shortly after the visit, Joe Biden said, “As I said last week, I am the President, but I am also a Dad. Jill and I love our son, and we are so proud of the man he is today. So many families who have had loved ones battle addiction understand the feeling of pride seeing someone you love come out the other side and be so strong and resilient in recovery.”

“As I also said last week, I will continue to respect the judicial process as Hunter considers an appeal. Jill and I will always be there for Hunter and the rest of our family with our. love and support. Nothing will ever change that.”

Hours later, he made a previously scheduled trip to Delaware and was seen hugging Hunter Biden.

The president said before the verdict was announced he would not pardon his son if he was found guilty.
