The ladies of âThe Viewâ are tearing into Republicans who voted to acquit Former President Donald Trump.
âIt was outrageous that he was acquitted⌠Basically you have a party⌠that only cares if you salute to the leader and look at how theyâre censuring the people who voted to not acquit,â co-host Joy Behar said.
She noted Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) received a letter from his family following his call for Trumpâs removal and Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) is being censured.
âCensured means youâre getting a reprimand. What did they do? A reprimand means you did something wrong,â Behar continued.

She commented on remarks made by Dave Ball, the Washington County, Pennsylvania, Republican Party chair, about Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.).
âWe did not send him there to vote his conscience. We did not send him there to do the right thing or whatever he said he was doing. We sent him there to represent us,â he said.
Behar slammed Ball, âWhy are you in politics? Why donât you just become a drug dealer? Why donât you just start a Ponzi scheme?â
She added, âWe donât need you in politics if youâre not voting your conscience. Itâs really the people who are for people who vote their conscience and people who donât vote their conscience. Thatâs what the two party system is right now.â
Co-host Sunny Hostin weighed in and said of impeachment, âWe knew this was going to happen.â
She continued, âThis is the Republican party today. It is the MAGA party. Itâs the QAnon party. Itâs the Confederate flag, statue-loving party. It is the Trump party.â
Check out her remarks below:
Hostin slammed Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) for his âhypocrisy.â
She added, âYou are the reason why the trial happened after President Trump left because you refused to start the trial while he was in office, you canât have it both ways.â
Meghan McCain responded to Hostinâs arguments about the state of the Republican Party.
âIf thatâs the truth, then the Democratic Party is the party of socialism and late-term abortion and cancel culture and no responsibility or ramifications for any of your actions and you can burn down cities like Kenosha and thereâs no ramifications,â McCain explained.
Watch her argument below:
She continued, âThe problem I have is the only way to become a good Republican is to become a Democrat, according to the media.â
