President Donald Trump is predicting lawmakers will reach a deal on the next coronavirus relief package after the November election.
“After the election, we’ll get the best stimulus package you’ve ever seen because I think we’re going to take back the House because of [Pelosi],” Trump said.
He added, “I think you have a lot of congressman and women Republicans that are going to get elected. We’ll take back the House.”

White House spokeswoman Alyssah Farah told Fox News in an interview, “We’re confident that we can get something in the coming weeks,” as IJR previously reported.
White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow weighed in on where negotiations stand.
“There are still a number of areas in her plan that the president cannot accept, just can’t accept it,” he said.
Kudlow continued, “I will also say, there are a number of targeted areas that we really think would help the economy.”
According to Kudlow, lawmakers are struggling to agree on aid for state and local governments and provisions around immigration and healthcare.
He could not say whether they will be able to strike a deal before the election.
“I am not here to be either optimistic or pessimistic,” Kudlow said.
Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Friday he believes House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) “would rather wait ’til after the election,” as IJR previously reported.
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin explained if Pelosi “wants to compromise, there will be a deal.”
Pelosi claimed she is willing to get something done before the election.
“We could do that before the election if the president wants to,” Pelosi said in an interview on MSNBC. “He (Trump) has to talk to the Senate Republicans.”
Congress approved $3 trillion in relief in the spring for unemployment and small businesses, but nothing has been appropriated since.
