Police responded to reports of gunfire outside the Beverly Hills home of singer and entrepreneur Rihanna on Sunday afternoon, prompting a quick law enforcement response in the upscale Los Angeles neighborhood.
According to Fox News, the Los Angeles Police Department said officers were dispatched around 1:15 p.m. after receiving a call reporting an “ADW (assault with a deadly weapon) shots fired” incident in the area.
LAPD dispatch audio indicated that “approximately 10 shots heard” during the incident.
The audio also suggested the shots were fired “from across the street.”
Authorities said the suspect, identified as a woman, allegedly fired multiple rounds from inside a vehicle near the property.
Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was reportedly inside the home at the time the shots were fired, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Law enforcement officials quickly located the suspect after the shooting.
An LAPD spokesperson told Fox News Digital that the woman was “taken into custody without further incident.”
Police confirmed that no one was injured during the incident. Investigators also recovered one weapon at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding what led to the shooting remain unclear, but authorities said the situation was contained shortly after officers arrived.
Rihanna has maintained a residence in the Beverly Hills area for several years.
The global music star has also built a major business empire beyond her recording career.
In July 2022, Forbes named Rihanna the youngest self-made female billionaire after her net worth reached $1.4 billion.
Much of her wealth has been driven by her business ventures in beauty and fashion.
Rihanna owns a 50 percent stake in her cosmetics company, Fenty Beauty.
She also holds a 30 percent stake in the Savage X Fenty lingerie brand. Her share of Fenty Beauty alone has been valued at an estimated $700 million.
Outside of her business success, Rihanna has also focused on her family life in recent years. She and her partner, musician A$AP Rocky, welcomed their first son in May 2022.
The couple later had their second son in August 2023 and a daughter in September 2025.
Authorities have not released additional details about the suspect or what may have motivated the shooting.
