Former CNN host Brian Stelter is sharing his latest gig after leaving the network.

In a tweet on Monday, Stelter wrote, “Personal news: I’m joining the [Shorenstein Center] at Harvard Kennedy School.”

“This fall I’ll be the Walter Shorenstein Media and Democracy Fellow, convening discussions, some of which will be live-streamed,” he added.

He shared a statement from the Shorenstein Center about announcing the news that he will be joining the center.

“The Walter Shorenstein Media and Democracy Fellowship brings high-profile figures at the forefront of media, politics, and public policy to Harvard’s Kennedy School to work with students, faculty, scholars and the public on important issues of the moment,” the statement read.

It went on, “As the Walter Shorenstein Fellow, Stelter will convene a series of discussions about threats to democracy and the range of potential responses from the news media.”

“These discussions with media leaders, policy makers, politicians, and Kennedy School students, fellows, and faculty will help deepen public and scholarly understanding about the current state of the information ecosystem and its impacts on democratic governance,” the statement added.

The announcement comes roughly a month after it was announced that Stelter would be leaving CNN.

A spokesperson for the network told Fox News Digital in August, “CNN will end its ‘Reliable Sources’ program on Sunday, August 21st.”

“As a result Brian Stelter will leave the company. We appreciate his contributions to the network and wish him well as he embarks on new endeavors,” they added.

He tweeted at the time, “I loved anchoring [Reliable Sources]. It was a rare privilege to lead a weekly show focused on the press at a time when it has never been more consequential.”

During his final monologue on “Reliable Sources,” Stelter said, “This show’s going away. But there’s going to be so many more. We need to have room for media criticism and debate and discussion — and we will.”

“So much of the media ecosystem in 2022 is garbage, but so much of it is spectacular. The hard part is sorting out the treasure from the trash,” he continued.

Finally, he said, “CNN must remain strong… I’m going to be rooting for it. I want CNN to be strong. I believe America needs CNN to be strong. I believe the free world needs CNN to be strong.”
