Savannah Chrisley, daughter of Todd and Julie Chrisley, got candid about juggling dating and taking care of her niece, whom her parents adopted, and brother while they are in prison.
On the March 21 episode of her podcast, Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley, she spoke to guest, Andrew Jannakos, about how “hard” it is to date when children are involved.
“I’m helping to raise my 10-year-old sister and 16-year old-brother and I’m trying to date,” she explained. “And I’m like, ‘What do you do with them?’ The 16-year-old, he drives and all that, but the 10-year-old I’m like, ‘OK, well, I mean, you gotta maybe come have dinner with me.'”
Savannah Chrisley, 25, also spoke about the transition from it just being her and the person she’s dating to now her siblings taking part.
“From the beginning, it’s really always all of you, and not just you and that person,” she said.
In June 2022, Todd and Julie Chrisley were convicted of “conspiring to defraud Atlanta banks.”
On Jan. 17, they reported to prison to serve out their combined 19-year prison sentences.
On the Feb. 7 episode of her podcast, Savannah Chrisley revealed that she “had a full-on breakdown” one night while caring for her niece.
“I was trying to find Chloe proper clothes to go and visit my parents and find her hair stuff. I just sat down on the floor and started crying,” she said.
Savannah Chrisley opened up about how she felt about taking over her mother’s role.
“I am not my mother. How am I going to do this? I don’t feel that I am worthy or capable enough of doing the job she’s done for all her life,” she said.
She also shared the words of encouragement Chloe gave her the next day.
“I was sitting there, and the next day Chloe said, ‘You’re doing a pretty good job. I mean, you made me ramen noodles last night,’” she stated.
