Alec Baldwinâs brother spoke out about the fatal shooting that took place on the set of the actorâs movie, claiming he is being âattackedâ for his political views.
During an appearance on âThe Domenick Nati Showâ Tuesday, Nati asked Daniel Baldwin, âAre you saying that you think that maybe Alec is being attacked because of what, because of his political views?â
He responded, âOh, for sure yes, yeah.â
Earlier in the interview, Daniel Baldwin argued, âYou know Alecâs got the name though, doesnât he? So letâs take go ahead and take Alec for his political views and the many, many wonderful things heâs done for different charities and people and his wife and letâs see if we canât sensationalize this.â
He continued, âThis is what he faces because heâs opinionated and heâs strong-headed and he has really staunch views on certain things.â
Daniel Baldwin claimed the people who do not like his brother âwill take advantage of him and persecute his wife.â
He added, âThereâs so much going on in the world and six months ago weâre talking about whether Hilaria speaks Spanish or notâŚLet âem run with it because six months from now everyoneâs going to realize those people are going to jail, theyâre going to be sued, and it wonât be him.â

In October, Baldwin fired a prop gun on the set of âRust,â killing Director of Photography Halyna Hutchins and injuring Director Joel Souza, as IJR reported.
Daniel Baldwin told Nati his brother âreally likedâ Hutchins, adding, âHe cared about her and her familyâŚand he spent some time with her family now but you canât take that back. You canât take back that someone loaded that gun improperly and itâs very sad. It didnât have to happen.â
Last week, Serge Svetnoy, a crew member who worked on the set of the movie, filed a lawsuit against Alec Baldwin and other producers, as IJR reported.
He âaccused the producers and other crew of failing to implement safety standards. He has filed a negligence suit against Baldwin and the movieâs producers.â
Svetnoy said during a press conference, âWhat a tragedy and injustice when a person loses her life on film set while making art.â
