Former Attorney General William Barr is taking aim at his old boss.

During an appearance on CBS’ ā€œFace The Nationā€ Sunday, Barr was asked what it would say about the Republican Party if former President Donald Trump wins the 2024 primary.

The former attorney general argued Trump has ā€œmany good qualities and he accomplished some good things.ā€

ā€œBut the fact of the matter is, he is a consummate narcissist. And he constantly engages in reckless conduct that puts his political followers at risk, and the conservative and Republican agenda at risk,ā€ Barr said.

He added, ā€œHe will always put his own interest and gratifying his own ego ahead of everything else including the country’s interests.ā€

Barr also likened Trump to a ā€œdefiant nine-year-old kid who’s pushing a glass toward the end of the table defying his parents to stop him from doing it.ā€

He also described Trump with a two-word label as he called him a ā€œtroubled man.ā€

ā€œOur country can’t be a therapy session for a troubled man like this.ā€

Barr has been critical of Trump for his handling of classified documents.

And the former president has blasted him, calling him a ā€œdisgruntled former employee,ā€ a ā€œlazy attorney general,ā€ and a ā€œgutless pig.ā€

Barr’s comments come after Trump was indicted for his handling of classified documents.

The former president has insisted he is an ā€œinnocent man.ā€

He also blamed the charges against him on ā€œmutants.ā€
