Former House Speaker John Boehner (R) is unloading on āpolitical terroristsā in the Republican party.
In an interview with āCBS Sunday Morningā to be broadcast on Sunday, Boehner did not hold back in his criticism of Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas).
āI just never saw a guy who spent more time tearing things apart and never building anything, never putting anything together,ā Boehner said of Jordan.
When it came to Cruz, Boehner said, āI donāt beat anybody up. Itās not really my style. Except that jerk.ā
He continued, āPerfect symbol, you know, of getting elected, make a lot of noise, draw a lot of attention to yourself, raise a lot of money, which means youāre gonna go make more noise, raise more money, and itās really, itās unfortunate.ā

The preview of Boehnerās comments comes just days before his new book, āOn the House: A Washington Memoir,ā is set to be released.
In his new book, the former House speaker also lays into former President Donald Trump for what Boehner believes is his role in the deadly insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, as IJR reported.
Boehner argues Trump āincited that bloody insurrection for nothing more than selfish reasons, perpetuated by the bullsh*t heād been shoveling since he lost a fair election the previous November.ā
āHe claimed voter fraud without any evidence, and repeated those claims, taking advantage of the trust placed in him by his supporters and ultimately betraying that trust,ā Boehner writes.
He claims Trumpās ārefusal to accept the result of the electionā not only ācost Republicans the Senate but led to mob violence.ā
Boehner resigned from Congress in 2015.
