Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports praised Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley for her support for Israel’s “need to eliminate Hamas” and added that he is “more impressed by her.”

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Portnoy commented on a video of Haley expressing that Americans should continue to show support for Israel “when they hit back” and “move in” to the Gaza Strip in order to take out Hamas, a Palestinian terrorist organization, during an interview on “The Sean Hannity Show” on Fox News.

“When they start that ground game, when Israel starts to move in to eliminate Hamas further, you’re going to have all these other countries and you’re going to have Americans say, ‘you need to show constraint, you need to be able to pull back,'” Haley said. “No. They need to eliminate Hamas. We are supporting Israel now because they’ve been hit, but the more important part is we have to support them when they hit back as well.”

Portnoy wrote, “everytime” Haley “speaks I become more impressed by her,” and added that he is a “huge fan of hers and she is 100% dead on here.”

Haley previously slammed Secretary of State Antony Blinken for claiming that there was no proof Iran was directly involved in the Israel-Hamas conflict after the United States released $6 billion in seized Iranian assets as part of a deal to have five U.S. prisoners released, according to NBC News.

Haley reminded Americans that “we’ve seen the images” of what Hamas has done to the Israelis, referencing the atrocities of parents having been “butchered” while trying to “protect their children” and the reports of babies having been beheaded, women raped and entire families murdered.

“As horrific as they are and as heartbreaking as all of this is, we are saying right now, ‘eliminate Hamas,'” Haley, the former U. S. ambassador to the United Nations, said. “I can tell you because it happened all the time at the U.N.”

Haley continued to stress the importance of supporting Israel, pointing out that they’ve seen “too much death” and “too much destruction.”

Last Saturday, Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel, firing thousands of rounds of rockets and leaving more than 250 Israelis who had been attending a music festival near the Gaza Strip border dead.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the attack from Hamas by declaring war.

Since Hamas’ attack, more than 1,300 Israelis have been killed, including babies, children, women, and entire families that were murdered. U.S. officials have also reported 27 Americans are among those who have been killed.
