Transgender influencer Dylan mulvaney said recently he wants to be in a beer ad for a future Super Bowl game.
In an interview with The Cut, Mulvaney, a biological male, revealed his aspirations to be in a Super Bowl commercial one day.
âMaybe itâd be epic,â he said. âIf in like 10 years I got to do a beer commercial for a Super Bowl.â
Mulvaney, who started the series â365 Days of Girlhoodâ on his TikTok page, opened up about the controversy surrounding his identity.
He shared:
âI donât like taking myself too seriously. I want to be the funny one. I donât want to be the one thatâs scared, the one whoâs controversial â that word, controversial, drives me f**king insane. What really makes me controversial? That Iâm trans? That Iâm hyperfeminine? That I make jokes? That I overshare? Because I actually like being myself or that, God forbid, Iâm happy? Maybe thatâs what makes me controversial. I donât think Iâve actually f**ked up majorly. I think that the world is f**ked up. Cheers to that.â
In June, Mulvaney, 26, posted a TikTok video calling out Bud light for not reaching out to him following the backlash he received for their partnership.
âFor a company to hire a trans person and then not publicly stand by them is worse, in my opinion, than not hiring a trans person at all because it gives customers permission to be as transphobic and hateful as they want,â he said.

On June 15, Brendan Whitworth, CEO of Anheuser-Busch, addressed the controversy in a press release.
âWe recognize that over the last two months, the discussion surrounding our company and Bud light has moved away from beer, and this has impacted our consumers, our business partners, and our employees,â he wrote.
In the release, Whitworth emphasized âbeer is for everyoneâ and also shared the companyâs plan of action going forward.
âFirst, we are investing to protect the jobs of our frontline employees. Second, we are providing financial assistance to our independent wholesalers to help them support their employees,â he assured.
Whitworth continued, âThird, to all our valued consumers, we hear you. Our summer advertising launches next week, and you can look forward to Bud light reinforcing what youâve always loved about our brand â that itâs easy to drink and easy to enjoy.â
