Fox Newsâ Greg Gutfeld is reacting to the news that one of his favorite punching bags at CNN is leaving the network.
On Thursday, it was revealed that CNNâs media correspondent Brian stelter is departing the network, and his show âReliable Sourcesâ will also be ended.
Shortly after the news broke, Gutfeld tweeted, âYo â my show is hiring.â
During a segment of âGutfeld!â he also took several minutes to roast Stelter.
âHappy Thursday, everyone. But itâs really not that happy,â Gutfeld said. âFirst of all, we have some sad news for this show. Brian stelter is leaving CNN. Apparently, he wants to spend more time with his food. I kid the popping fresh king. Iâm going to miss him. How much? Well, this much.â
Gutfeld then played a montage of him slinging food insults at Stelter.
Watch the video below:
After the clip, the host asked, âWhat the hell am I going to do now? First, Chris Cuomo. Then Jeffrey Toobin. And now Stelter. Iâm running out of material. If CNN fires Don Lemon, I might actually have to work for a living.â
Gutfeld also pondered what Stelter will do after his CNN gig and once again jokingly suggested he could work for the âGutfeld!â show.
âOur on-camera chemistry was undeniable,â he added before playing a 2007 clip from his show at the time, âRed Eye,â where Stelter made an appearance.
Finally, Gutfeld said, âThat really happened, right? You guys saw that too. I wasnât just dreaming that.â
Stelter was reportedly informed of the decision of CNNâs decision to cancel his show on Wednesday.
He tweeted, âI loved anchoring . It was a rare privilege to lead a weekly show focused on the press at a time when it has never been more consequential.â
A spokesperson for the network told Fox News Digital, âCNN will end its âReliable Sourcesâ program on Sunday, August 21st. As a result Brian stelter will leave the company. We appreciate his contributions to the network and wish him well as he embarks on new endeavors.â
