Actor and musician Jared Leto is strongly denying allegations of criminal sexual misconduct after a new BBC documentary featured accusations from several women who claim they had troubling encounters with him over a period of more than a decade.
According to Fox News, Leto said in a statement to the outlet that the claims were "categorically false."
"I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life," Leto said in a statement. "These claims are absolutely and categorically false."
The allegations are presented in the BBC documentary "Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret," which premiered Wednesday.
According to the broadcaster, the film includes interviews with 10 participants, nine of whom are speaking publicly for the first time.
The documentary features four women who allege Leto engaged in criminal sexual conduct between 2002 and 2016, when the Academy Award-winning actor and Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman was in his 30s and 40s.
According to the BBC, one woman alleged she had a sexual relationship with Leto when she was 17 years old.
Another woman accused him of sexually assaulting her after the two met in Las Vegas.
A third woman alleged she met Leto after a Thirty Seconds to Mars concert in London in 2013. She claimed he made inappropriate comments after she told him she was 17 and later alleged she felt unsafe during the encounter before leaving.
A fourth woman alleged Leto began grooming her when she was 16 years old through repeated inappropriate communications and later suggested they have a sexual relationship.
The BBC reported that she declined to sign a nondisclosure agreement she said was presented to her.
The documentary also includes interviews with two former employees connected to Thirty Seconds to Mars.
They alleged some staff members were uncomfortable with Leto's interactions with teenage girls, with one claiming minors were invited backstage or to locations where the band was recording.
The BBC documentary follows a 2025 Air Mail report that included allegations from nine women accusing Leto of inappropriate sexual behavior over several years, including claims involving minors.
At the time, Leto's representatives denied those allegations, calling claims made by one accuser "demonstrably false."
Leto has not been charged with any crime related to the allegations presented in the documentary.
He continues to deny all accusations, maintaining that the claims are false.
