Co-host of “The View” Joy Behar called Kyle Rittenhouse’s breakdown on the stand during his testimony an “acting job.”
While testifying Wednesday about fatally shooting two men and injuring another, Rittenhouse began to cry and hyperventilate.
The shooting that killed Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, and also injured Gaige Grosskreutz, took place after unrest broke out in Kenosha, Wisconsin, following the police shooting of Jacob Blake.
During an episode of “The View” Thursday, footage was shown of Rittenhouse breaking down.
At one point Rittenhouse testified that he was “trying to get to the police, running down” the street. When asked why he was trying to get to the police, Rittenhouse responded, “Because I didn’t do anything wrong. I defended myself.”
Behar responded, “Oh, baloney.”
She explained, “The guy goes across state lines with an AR-15, with his mother, and some other idiot in the car to defend himself against what? They’re having a protest in another state and he takes it upon himself to go there. And then he says it’s self defense. No.”
Behar continued, “That acting job of the crying? I can’t even look at it. That’s one of the worst acting jobs I’ve ever seen.”
