Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) pushed back against criticism she received following the Club Q nightclub shooting.
Boebert commented on the criticism during an appearance on OAN.
âI have been accused of just about every mass shooting there has been since the Left has learned of my name,â Boebert said.
She added, âWhether itâs Uvalde, or the King Soopers shooting in Boulder, Colorado, or the Buffalo, New York shooting. Or even Paul Pelosi getting hammered. I have been blamed for all of that.â
Boebert continued, âI think the Left is pissed I won my election. And so theyâre trying to find something to go after me about. I expressed my concern for the family, for the victims. And the way that they came after me is absolutely disgusting.â

The response comes just days after she sparked backlash for offering her condolences after a gunman shot and killed five people and injured dozens more at the nightclub in Colorado Springs.
âThe news out of Colorado Springs is absolutely awful. This morning the victims and their families are in my prayers. This lawless violence needs to end and end quickly,â Boebert tweeted at the time.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was quick to criticize Boebert on Twitter.
â you have played a major role in elevating anti-LGBT+ hate rhetoric and anti-trans lies while spending your time in Congress blocking even the most common sense gun safety laws. You donât get to âthoughts and prayersâ your way out of this. Look inward and change,â Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.
Additionally, The Denver Postâs editorial board took aim at Boebert.
âBoebert was rightly excoriated for her role in elevating hateful speech against the LGBTQ community,â the board wrote.
They continued, âAs an added bonus, her hard-line positions on gun control, ruling out even common sense measures, mean she would not have supported any efforts that might have kept guns out of this shooterâs possession.â
Democratic House candidate Adam Frisch conceded to Boebert this month after a tighter than expected race.
