Nicole Kidman Opens Up After Split: ‘I’m Hanging In There’

🎬Nicole Kidman is offering a glimpse into how she’s coping in the wake of her split from Keith Urban, hinting at the emotional weight of their separation during a recent conversation with Ariana Grande.

According to Page Six, during her interview, published on Monday by Interview Magazine, Grande asked the Oscar-winning actress a simple question: “How are you?” Kidman responded with a brief but telling answer — “I’m hanging in there.”

The 58-year-old actress also reflected on the sense of comfort she found while filming the long-awaited sequel to her 1998 film “Practical Magic” earlier this year. The production took place shortly before news of her breakup with Urban became public.

Kidman said she felt “very safe” and “protected” on set, thanks to the close bonds she shares with her co-stars. “Sandy Bullock and I, and then Joey King and Maisie — we had an incredible cast,” she said, describing the project as “so fun.”

But she noted that filming isn’t always so enjoyable. “I have such a strong relationship with all those women, so I felt protected and loved,” she explained. “It was just very, very safe.”

Returning to the world of Practical Magic decades later was a meaningful experience, especially alongside Sandra Bullock.

“To come back to something so many years later and go, ‘We’re still able to get this movie made at a big big studio like Warner’s,’ and that Sandy and I were able to produce it and get it made, is insane,” she said.

Reports surfaced in September that Kidman and Urban, both 58, were ending their nearly 20-year marriage. A source told Page Six at the time, “Sometimes relationships just run their course,” adding that Kidman “did not want the separation and was trying to save things.”

The pair had reportedly been living apart since early summer, with Kidman caring for their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

She officially filed for 💔Divorce on Sept. 30, just before rumors emerged suggesting Urban may have grown close to his younger guitarist, Maggie Baugh. For now, Kidman is focused on her daughters’ well-being.

“The last thing Nicole wanted was a broken family,” a source told The Sun, adding that she is concentrating on creating “new traditions with her daughters and keeping their home life as steady and loving as possible.”
