Former House SpeakerĀ Paul RyanĀ (R)Ā will be headlining a fundraiser for an outspoken critic of former PresidentĀ Donald Trump, Rep.Ā Adam KinzingerĀ (R-Ill.), according to reports.

The fundraiser will be held on Monday, as Politico reports. According to an invitation obtained by the publication, the cost of tickets range from $250 to $11,600.

Politico writes, ā€œIt’s a decisive move against ex-President Donald Trump, who has set his sights on Republicans who voted to impeach him.ā€

Kinzinger was one of the 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump on the charge of ā€œincitement of insurrectionā€ after rioters stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

During an interview with The Washington Post following the vote, Kinzinger told the newspaper, ā€œWhen impeachment came up, I didn’t think it was the best thing to do because I think it just gave Donald Trump an opportunity to be a victim, and he’s really good at being a victim. But I knew that if it was put in front of me, there was no choice. It was, frankly, an easy decision.ā€

Ryan also headlined a March fundraiser for another critic of Trump, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), as IJR previously reported. House Republicans voted to oust Cheney from her leadership position earlier this month.

Kinzinger released a statement responding to Cheney’s removal, ā€œLiz may lose, and MAGA-lago may celebrate. But I predict that the history books of the future will not celebrate. They will say this was the low point of the Republican Party.ā€

He added, ā€œThe loser former guy, who has thin skin and snowflake like personality will solidify his momentary leadership, and we will solidify our position as a once honorable party that was marred by lies.ā€
