Prince Harry revealed the fear he had about his wife Meghan Markle in their new Netflix docuseries.

In the official trailer for the series titled “Harry & Meghan,” which will be available on Netflix Dec. 8, Prince Harry shared that he “didn’t want history to repeat itself,” in connection to the death of his mother Princess Diana.

“I was terrified. I didn’t want history to repeat itself,” he said.

The two-partseries is going to showcase the couple’s “early courtship” and “the challenges that led to them feeling forced to step back from their full-time roles in the institution.”

He said in an interview for a BBC documentary in 2017, that “the hardest thing” he has had to come to terms with is “the fact that the people who chased her into the tunnel, were the same people taking photographs of her while she was still dying on the backseat of the car.”

Prince Harry added that “those people who caused the accident” were taking photos of her instead of helping her as she was dying.

“And then those photographs made their way back to news desks in this country,” he continued.

Prince Harry and Meghan took steps in 2020 to protect their family from the U.S. paparazzi by suing them for taking illegal photos of their son, Archie, according to Vanity Fair.

The intent of the lawsuit was to “uncover the identity of those who took the photographs and those who are seeking to profit by selling them. They also seek to put any prospective purchasers of the photos on notice that they were taken illegally and are not what they purport to be.”

“The most important thing for them is to be able to have a quiet life away from the cameras where Archie can go to school and have a normal childhood without constantly being photographed,” a source said, according to Vanity Fair.
